The Art of Colour with Emma Krab.
A palette consisting of a total of 11 colours in a small space may seem overwhelming to many, but with Emma's keen eye for colours, she has created the calm space she dreamed of.

In Emma Krab and her husband's home in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, there are no rules when it comes to interior design. Emma's creative background as an independent designer is evident, and few design choices are left to chance. Yet, a sense of spaciousness prevails, embracing diversity and imperfection, with a feeling that anything is allowed.
Many of our decisions are quite impulsive, which can result in a slightly strange mix. We've become good at not thinking too far ahead, which means we dare to make bold choices – especially when it comes to second-hand items, because then we can simply change things up if needed.
In the living room, Emma has combined walls in Purple Rush, Odd Orange, and Pop Around with delicate accents of Sand in Shoes. The ceiling is painted in the colour Ocean Crush, providing a cooler contrast to the warm tones and thus creating a beautiful balance in the space.
The inspiration for choosing these colours came from a certain ambiance, as well as Danish and classical architecture, such as Thorvaldsens Museum and Glyptoteket, two popular art museums in Copenhagen.
In the creative sewing room, just like in the living room, Emma has chosen to place a dark colour at the bottom of the walls, as she explains that it creates a sense of airiness and high ceilings in the room. Midnight Espresso is accompanied by See You Cigar and Purple Rush, which are also separated by stripes of Sand in Shoes. The ceiling in this room is also painted Ocean Crush.
Ocean Crush is present throughout the entire space, and the bedroom is no exception, the lovely blue shade takes on a dominant role, appearing on the ceiling, stucco, and walls. However, Emma has created a bold contrast by using the Trend Notes® colour Mingle More on the floor panels and door.
It seems that these colours exude a tremendous sense of tranquility, even though they are also quite dominant.
