Nestled in "Humlebyen" within Copenhagen's Vesterbro neighbourhood, a townhouse crafted by the architect Frederik Bøttger in 1891, is inhabited by Esben Bjerre and Sisse Sejr-Nørgaard, a renowned Danish journalist couple. For them, infusing this vintage townhouse with lively shades was a fundamental part of the renovation process. Not a single door, window, wall, or ceiling in their four-story home has been left untouched—nor painted white.

The heart of their home, the kitchen and living area, features an Odd Orange ceiling, Daily Beige walls, and Surf Soul accents that make doors, windowsills, and trims come to life.

As you make your way up the blue stairwell, you're greeted by a warm and inviting sitting room. The ceiling is painted in High on Life, complementing the Coco Pink walls and Garden Note windowsills.

The choice of colours in the living room is all about our favourite colours and how they interact. It’s a bit like inviting a diverse group of friends to live on your walls, and they all become best friends.

Next door to the living room is a bathroom that pays homage to the 1950s and 1960s with its terrazzo-covered floors and Art Deco-inspired showerdoor, while creating a spa-like atmosphere in green and blue tones.

On the top floor, the master bedroom greets you with a burst of warm colours. Vibrant orange ceilings, soft Coco Pink walls, and the distinctive Mingle More from the Trend Notes® collection on the windowsills create a colourful harmony.
